With a running speed of 600 RPM, and a simple engine design the Lister CS diesel engine is now legendary for its record of longevity with many engines running in rural areas for 40 years or more. You may have spent some time around a diesel generator and are familiar with the mind numbing loud engine sound. As my children ask "can we have electricity without the noise?"  The Listeroid engine with its slow 650 rpm speed is quiet and gentle sounding. Start up a listeroid and people are drawn to it. Indirect injection and its slow cycle speed aid the listeroid diesel's ability to burn alternative fuel such as waste vegetable fuel oil (wvo). While some may want to burn waste motor oil (wmo) my personal choice is to breath exhaust that smells like french fries and eliminate breathing some of the harmful pollution found in mineral based fuels.

Keep in mind that  while India can make reasonably good castings for this engine their fit and finish and their quality control can sometimes fall short of western expectations. We start with the best india made listroid engine we can find. then strip the engines, clean, polish critical surfaces and make sure that it is ready for a long useful life. If you want an engine to occasionally fire up and keep for a show piece you may want to purchase your listeroid engine from the lowest cost provider, but if you want your listeroid engine to be a work horse for many many thousands of hours give our engines a look.
